Last week, a client brought us his 2009 Audi S5 with a well-known problem. His engine was suffering from an excessive carbon build up on the intake valves. This occurs in Audi direct injection engines overtime and can cause major drivability issues such as stumbling, flat spots, poor throttle response, and lack of power.
After calling multiple Audi dealerships and other shops in the Chicagoland area, he had no luck finding someone who could fix his problem. Luckily, he stumbled upon Rennology Motor Sport and we were more than willing to help him out.
To solve the problem, Rennology provides walnut shell cleaning of Audi direct injection engines. This process safely removes the carbon build up and is significantly less expensive than removing cylinder heads and cleaning the valves. The process is conducted using a factory approved tool that blasts walnut shell particles directly on to the intake valves. The process removes all of the carbon build up and consistently returns good engine performance. More information on Audi Carbon Cleaning can be found at our website.
Our client was more than thrilled when he picked up his car and emailed us saying:
“When my Audi dealer failed to address the all too common issue of carbon buildup in their direct inject engines, I decided to take matters into my own hands and check out Rennology Motor Sport and I’m so glad I did. From the initial phone call to picking up the finished car, I knew I was in good hands. Every single aspect of the experience was pleasant and my car is now in tip top shape. Super nice people and super high quality work done fast. When my warranty expires, this will be the one and only place I bring my Audi. Thanks to all who went out of their way to be so kind and helpful at Rennology.”
